Good morning. After more than a week with the damn covid. I start with the first pipe. A bowl of dt Veermaster Hamborger, in a Charles Towne Cobbler MM. I blamed my cold, on a couple of very cold beers. It seems that it was really the covid that shook me up again. I'm still sore, but what the heck, today is a rest day, and I missed a little tobacco. Here in Spain we finally got some snow and some torrential rains. I missed you guys. Hope you are well. I wish you a happy saturday. And God bless you.View attachment 280998
Glad you are back and in good form

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Wilke Shenandoah in an undated straight smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson’s Sterling bulldog 150 with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. This blend has much less perique (10%) than the regular Back Bay (which was my idea that John Brandt blended). This version was my idea, too, as I wanted a lighter VaPer for this pipe. I may end the day with this smoke.

The unnamed striped cat and Scared Stripesy showed up to eat. although the unnamed cat scared it away after a couple of minutes with mournfully loud meowing. Scared Stripesy came back ate after that unnamed one left. I wonder how many of those striped cats are out there.

Too windy for litter picking today!
Got carrot, parsnip & thyme soup for dinner with homemade bread; made another loaf this morning.
Got GBP1.50 voucher with my Tesco points, earned GBP4 in Tesco gift cards so used them to buy the protein puddings, flavoured sparkling water & chilled soup I had cashback offers on.
I think the Tesco Clubcard encourages shoppers to spend more as you have to get a certain number of points to get a voucher. Boots Advantage Card & Nectar are much better as you can just redeem your points as & when.

It’s very similar to Brog designs but there’s only one word on the shank. If I remember rightly I brought it at a newsagent while buying some Exclusiv Black Cherry tobacco long before I got full blown PAD/TAD and was content with getting a ounce of BC once in a while.
@Birddog66 I only get pipe acquisition disorder with clays:)

Ugggh what a day. Dropped my daughter off at school, started heading towards work and a radiator hose blew. I don’t know why automotive companies use plastic parts on radiator lines, so dumb. Anyway, after my wife picked me up and took me to the auto store, bought what I needed to fix it, I got back and fixed it only to find the 30 minutes that I was gone with my four ways on, turned out I also needed a new battery lol. $300 later, I’m not working on pipes tonight, just straight to the Sutliff Virginia flake in a Savinelli with a glass of whiskey. How do you like that 409? A friend of mine just picked that exact model and shape in rusticated form for Virginias.

Well, at least it’s over 20 degrees for my second bowl of the day. Honestly, enough wool keeps me pretty warm. Anthology ‘23 in a Doctor’s Apple. The doc has a very obvious obsession with detail, he has an original vision. I really love his work. Working on my second acquisition on layaway (second photo). I’m usually not super into nose warmers, but these work for me so far, I still prefer close to 5 inches long.
