Relaxing after a wonderful salad, orange roughy and snow peas dinner with strawberries. I'm passing the first third of this bowl of Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a smooth medium bend terracotta Peterson POY 2023 X160 464/1100 military mount egg with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Getting ready to clean a few pipes.

Last bowl of the day before heading off to my bed. Having spent the last three hours finishing up the firms taxes I can now proudly delivery to our accountants in Georgia not one but two volumes of tax computations the size of a Greater London phone directory. After work tomorrow I will then tackle my own taxes and then over the weekend my wife's stuff including her NY business returns which should take all on an hour to formulate. I never cease marvel at how complex this countries tax system is and how un user friendly it is to the average Joe Q Lunchbox. I will finish my day off with a bowl of Richmond which will finish off this tin that Simong kindly gave me last spring in this rather fun but very old Devils Arse meerschaum pipe with an amber stem and decorative silver filigree work circa 1900's. I will see you all tomorrow for more pipe smoking adventures if the 'big fella' upstairs says it is to be so. Good night all!

@sparker69 after your Blatter post, you have me reaching for mine tonight. Bought this pipe in their store in Montreal. It’s the first pipe I ever actually bought after getting hooked on my Great Grandfather’s pipes. Tonight I’m busting into some Lane Crown Achievement. Bought this from The Bell Pipe and Tobacco store in Missoula Montana a couple years back when I was visiting with my daughter. Haven’t touched it since the trip, so should be fun.

Carol,
They are Hummel figurines that my Mom bought in Augsburg, Germany in 1961-62. My Dad was stationed there in the US Army. I was born there in 1962.
There’s an accompanying women figurine also.
We raise sheep on our little homestead. I love the Shepard theme along with the ol’ man smoking his pipe and whittling. They speak to the joy one finds in simple tasks and the value of resting in a quiet moment.
None of the “distractions” so prevalent today.

Here is a picture of the other figurine.

Those are really beautiful figurines! Love em! Thank you for sharing. I agree, simple, peaceful, sure tends to be hard to find now.
