Mixed 50/50 some Carolina Red Flake 2022 with some Cabbies's Mixture, both courtesy of my Dec Pipe Club meeting. Smoked in my "new" (Dec 19th) Rossi 8804 rusticated Canadian, similar to Savinelli's 804 KS. Have already smoked at least a dozen bowls in it. Might be my best smoking pipe, but to say that is probably sacrilege.

Just finished smoking year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

Just over a quarter of a bowl left of year 2013 Esoterica Tilbury in a smooth medium bend 1999 Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Milverton with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Snacking follows this smoke. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Going to have Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead in an Oguz Simsek Happy Skull Figural.
Last smoke of the day is Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Been a busy day.
I had a bowl of Rattray's Marlin Flake in my bent Bruken Selecta sitter. Excellent smoke. While I was smoking I chanced upon this excellent recording of John Rhys-Davies reading Durin's song, having been halfway through a bowl and really got me in the zone to fully enjoy the video. If I ever acquire some Capstan Blue I'll have to watch it again.
