I’m totally stuffed after a massive bowl of carbonara and enjoying a glass of Cab atm. I finished off the ODF/Anniversary mix I put together earlier in a 1902 Charles Maas and now I’m moving on to PS Bullseye in a Ferndown Tudor Root with gold band. Les recognised this pipe and told me he made it for a friend who I assume had passed on as I can’t imagine anyone getting rid of a present like that. 🤔View attachment 283292
@Birddog66 I enjoyed the 1792 Flake in Nantwich; just about finished the pouch now. Saved it specially! The Musketeer wasn't handling gunpowder when he lit my clay with his match cord:) Saving my long clay for Jason the blacksmith to light with ember tongs:)

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Sutliff States of Virginia Limited Edition ’23 in a smooth, fumed top three quarter bend 1970s Peterson military mount meer with a nickel cap and a black vulcanite saddle stem. Despite a dozen salt and Everclear treatments, sanding out the carbon and tons of elbow grease, the Lakeland ghost is still present. Dunno what else to do since I don't smoke Lakelands these days.

Luxury problems.
I’m over here trying to figure out which pipe I should dedicate to the scentier blends I’ve begun enjoying.

I cracked open a tin of C&D 2023 Small Batch Carolina Red Flake w/ Perique about a week ago. I'm relatively new to pipe smoking and bought two tins before I had ever even tried a Va/VaPer. Since making that purchase a few months ago, I've tried a few Va's/Vaper's and like them more than English, Burleys, or Aromatics.

I'd heard before about plum and fruity notes. But, this was the first tobacco where I could ever really pick it out. This stuff is delicious for sure! I'll save the other tin to cellar until a later date. I've heard 2, 5, and 10 year marks are good milestones to try to hit when cellaring Va's/VaPer's.
