Just had some C&D Izmir in my English cob while dealing with some snow:

It’s interesting; my first-ever bowl of this was basically dirty socks and burning leaves. But now that the pipe has been seasoned with 3 or 4 bowls of the stuff, it’s coming through clearer and I’m liking it more. Playing around with single-variety blending tobaccos has really driven home how much the “ghosts” of previous tobaccos (even mild ones) can influence what you taste, and that you shouldn’t put a lot of stock in your impressions of a tobacco until it has been smoked a few times in a clean pipe!

Had a nice snowstorm come through overnight and drop about 4 inches of snow. We need the moisture! Now that I’ve got all the shoveling done, I have time for a relaxing smoke and a cup of black tea.
