@bullet08 I enjoyed the Squadron leader in my clay pipes. I like to smoke Gawith tobacco in my clays; can you imagine how many clay pipes have been smoked with Gawith tobacco over the years???
Squadron Leader in Peterson POTY 2019 John Bull 999 sandblasted P-lip. Overcast today. B/W seems to fit. Men At Work "Cargo" is underrated piece of an art.

Half way through this bowl of year 2016 Sutliff 507-C Slices in a straight dark brown 1920s Comoy’s Sunrise Natural S369 squat bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. First time smoking this pipe. It still has a light ghost of whatever was smoked in it, but I'll burn it out. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I'm currently enjoying some Beaumont's Preferred, a custom blend from Emerson Southern Forged made for Tim Beaumont of PapaBears Pipes. The impression I get is a nice VaPer with a touch of latakia. It's quite enjoyable, especially through this Peterson Atlantic 05... Please forgive the flash on the phone⚡View attachment 194116
@KaunThePiper Not a fan of Latakia myself; I think it sounds like a cheap car made in Syria before the civil war broke out:)
Something like a Lada or Yugo.
I think Ukrainians will abandon their Ladas...

Smoking some Lane's BCA in a Peterson Limited Edition with silver accents. Smoking a properly packed pipe is such a joy. I bought this pipe from a fellow member of the (now defunct) Montreal Pipe Smoker's Club. He was giving up the hobby. I paid 90 Canadian dollars. I have a jeweler's cloth which really puts a shine on the silver.

@JimInks I'd like to try the Sutliff Virginia Slices in my clay pipes; I'll have to get some from Smokingpipes when I order from them again, along with an ounce or two of MacBaren Vanilla Cream. Thinking of giving up the clay pipes for Lent again this year.

@Beowoulf I met a re-enactor portraying William Cavendish at Bolsover Castle and he was smoking Virginia tobacco in an antique solid silver church warden pipe. He said it was over 250 years old and I think it really suited him.
There's a statue of a later William Cavendish outside the Crescent in Buxton. He doesn't like having clay pipe smoke blown in his face...

No clue. I only smoke Peterson. Squadron Leader is good. But not exactly the best. It's settling down now after about two weeks. Too many similar blends.

@Smoke Wagon I'd like to try the Apricots and Cream in my clay pipes. I like your fire 🔥 pit; if that was me I'd light my clay pipe from the fire 🔥:)
Did you light your pipe from the fire 🔥?
I really enjoyed the Redcoats & Revolutionaries event at Cromford Mill when the blacksmith lit my clay pipe with an ember from his forge 🔥; Dad calls the Redcoats & Revolutionaries blacksmith "the pipe lighter":)
Should I tell him at this year's event???

The fire pit is a propane unit with fire glass. Nothing to safely light from. I do light my cigars in it though!
