Almost time for some Salty Dogs in a meerschaum picked up in Turkey in '66 from a local artisan. Salty Dogs is my favorite Virginia blend so far. Wish they sold it by the pound.

Just passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2018 Solani 633 in a straight 1954 patent Dunhill 148 Group 3 black shell bulldog made for the France market with a black saddle vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I’m taking advantage of the only nice weather we’re going to have around these parts this week, and having a bowl of Anthology out on the porch, as the sun slips below the horizon.

My family finally finished celebrating Christmas this past weekend, as my Mom refused to take down her decorations until my son, his wife, and her first great-grandchild were able to make it down from Northern Virginia. I‘ve been accused of hogging the baby all weekend. Guilty as charged.

Such a cool shape, the shape of my Sasieni Cambridge looks a lot like this, like a forward canted Dublin with a slightly bent stem? Or is the yachtsman a documented shape?
