Nice pipe - Kendal Kentucky is a great tobacco that you don’t hear people talk about. It also can successfully mix with anything and add some kick to it

I think that people are put off by the prospect of Lakeland scent. Well, there isn’t any in this batch that I can tell. Maybe it’s WAY in the background.

Fillmore in a Chacom Cap Blanc with a wide oval shank and stem.

I really like the pinch of Latakia in this blend - it adds a subtle richness and complexity. I do wish the red VAs tasted a little redder, if that makes sense.

Sutliff Balkan Sobranie 759 Match in a Chacom smooth green-stain straight tapered billiard made specifically for Iwan Ries, but not a house pipe. Unlike some green stain pipes, this one has held its color well over a decade or two. A nice hefty pipe with an ample bowl that is still a nice middle-weight.

Old Joe Krantz Red Label in a Nording semi-churchwarden.

This seems very similar to Inns of Court, my favorite blend. It could be its replacement since I don’t buy from SP anymore. It’s not their fault. Virginia enacted some outrageous taxes on online tobacco sales (20% of the wholesale price on top of the 7% sales tax). Since D&S blends can only be bought online I haven’t bought any since. If I spend $100 to get the free shipping I’ll still get hit with that $14 excise tax on top of the usual $7 sales tax.

It’s not a perfect match (OJK is slightly spicier) but it’s close enough and I can buy it from my local B&M and save the extra money.

Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake in a Peterson Donegal Rocky tankard (701)with an acrylic fishtail stem. I'm generally not a fan of black cavendish but as it is used condimentally in this blend it is very good.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, porterhouse steak and roasted sliced almonds over a bed of slightly spiced brown rice. Had strawberries for dessert. I'm a third of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

NOT A CLUE! I've been transitioning my cellar from jars to mylar and in one of the moving boxes was a ziplock with an ounce or so of completely dried out something. I loaded it into a cob as I had some stuff outside to do. It tastes like some burley with a mild Lakeland topping. I'm not a huge fan of Lakeland so was planning on tossing the rest of the bag.....but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Going to have Hooded Canal in a Savinelli Tre 606 KS Bent Billiard. I like that this model doesn't have a filter (and I like the accent of the metal ring). The whisky is Ardbeg Scorch.
