Now smoking D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Working and listening to one of the great radio westerns, The Six Shooter, starring Jimmy Stewart.

Not far from finishing this bowl of D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite p-lip stem. I should be able to end the day with this smoke. Fed Suzy and Molly, and two ferals who tolerate the cold to be near us.

Got a new pipe from Chris Besse in Red Deer Alberta Canada. It is a beaut! Smokes like a dream!
I've got a diy mix going in comprised of D&R Cockstrong, Sutliff red va ribbon, Sutliff stoved VA, Sutliff mixing Perique, and a small amount just to empty the jar, of some Lane's Vanilla Cav.
I must say that this pipe is an instant favorite for several reasons. Obviously, it's a gift from a fellow piper, so, there's that. The pipe itself though, is wonderful! Size, shape, finish, stem, ease of use, everything is right there where you want it. I haven't had but one bowl that required any relight, and that was my own 'fault' becuase I don't smoke flakes all that often and failed to tamp near the bottom.
Check it out!WIN_20220124_15_38_42_Pro.jpg

Woke much too early, and eventually loaded some Amphora Virginia in my Saseini. Smoked about half of it, broke for breakfast - homemade hashbrowns with HP Sauce, some Canadian bacon (back bacon), frozen mango, and a homemade corn muffin with apple butter - and am now finishing that DGT'ed bowl.

I wasn’t aware that Americans use HP sauce?
It was the go to back home in Canada but I haven’t come across it here in KC.
