About a third of a bowl left from a first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

About a third of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Solani 633 in a 1954 patent Dunhill 148 Group 3 black shell bulldog made for the France market with a black saddle vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. The sun finally came out, and I hope it melts away a lot of snow and ice today since more is supposed to be on the way the next few days.

Hey, I have a bunch of aged Strang and posted a pic about a week ago or so. Can you compare it to the old? The core on the new looks a bit different.
Consider that this is very fresh (mid 2021 produced by Thomas), if yours is an aged production "Frau Lizzie" it is certainly more profound and complex. This is also a good tobacco, but it must be dried thoroughly, also those peaks of strong aromas and the sweet and spicy taste seems a little muffled. Tobacco has probably changed, sure the percentages. The "black" part here appears at 50%, and imho this cuts the peaks.

I've never bought rope tobacco. Out of curiosity, could it be smoked as a cigar?
