Its been a slow day in the Orifice! Almost finished compiling my tax stuff for 2021 A few more Excel spread sheets to go and I am done for the year. I am going to settle down to a small Espresso and a bowl of GH& Co Broken Flake #7 a truly spectacular blend kindly sent to me by a Forum member.

Only pipe today…enjoying this evening: Crystal Palace in a Savinelli 606KS.
Is that E. A. Poe's face on the middle of the bowl? Or another's? Or is just I have a vivid imagination?
Sutliff Bosphorus Cruise (sample) in a Savinelli Miele 611 KS bent dublin. Bird report: White-breasted nuthatch (very loud), California scrub-jay, and Mountain chickadee. Brave little dudes and dudettes--got down to about 12 degrees last night here! ?
C&D Derringer in my Peterson Irish Army 406 with acrylic stem. It took until 3pm for my pipes to thaw (no breaks, thank goodness). That's the plumbing pipes! 18 degrees is cold for mile high Arizona. I'll leave the water trickling tonight for sure.
Smoking now my 2nd "Olivecob" pipe, just an olivewood bowl and a detachable bamboo stem.
In it, I am having my 2nd bowl from a new pouch: Mac Baren Classic Loose Cut .
Well, although it is a "classic" I am not sure If I had it before. Certainly it is not "love at first sight" for me.
I sense a cigarette-like feeling of tobacco. And I don't like that when smoking the pipe.
Perhaps I should smoke it slower, with smaller sips e.t.c. or it will change in time. Maybe not.
On the side: red, hot, spicy drink in the "keep warm" mug system with a tealight underneath.

St Bruno RR in a Roadtown bent apple. I've only smoked this particular pipe 5 or 6 times and this is the first bowl I've had that didn't taste absolutely terrible. It's still not great but at least it's getting better. I may just suck it up and smoke it every other night for the next few weeks and try to smoke out whatever is making this thing taste awful.
