Now Smoking: Sutliff: Match: Country Doctor ; in a brand spankin' new and freshly honey'd two days ago - MM: Legend, bent stem.

it's 3:53 am.

The house is totally quiet and warm. The dogs are sleeping soundly on the floor at my side of my recliner; and I am sipping hot, black tea with sugar/ no cream; nibbling on Cracker Barrel: Vermont sharp white cheddar cheese; and reading - well, not really reading, but getting transcendentally immersed in the Kirby/Ditko artwork - of the hardback Marvel Masterworks reprint of 1962-63's: The Incredible Hulk; Issues #1 - 6.

So far the closing of the first night of 2021 is... puffyperfect. - Sherm Natman

Ditko inking Kirby in issue #2 made the Hulk look creepy. That was great!

Vanilla roll cake in a Bjarne panel View attachment 58252

What would you rate the Nic on the Vanilla Roll Cake? The smell from the tin is absolutely wonderful, but I made a perchase based on JimInks review on TR. Jim said that the nic hit was “a step past medium” and I couldn’t feel it at all. I’m usually on par with his nicotine ratings but with this one I felt the nicotine was very mild. I’ve been mixing a few coins of G&H Brown Irish Twist for a boost in the Vitamin N

Still have a few things to do before bed time, so I thought I'd give this pipe a try as I haven't smoked it yet. Year 2013 Capstan Blue in an approx. year 1935 small, straight smooth dark brown Irish Free State K&P (Peterson) billiard with a silverish cap military mount and tapered black vulcanite stem.

That's interesting. I'll revisit that blend and see if I still feel the same way about the nic-hit. You have me wondering now.

Agreed!

And, the artwork Ditko did for Jim Warren in: Creepy magazine, for the Archie Goodwin story: 'Collector's Edition!', is one of my all-time favorite pieces of his work - naturally, it's very... "creepy" LOL! - Sherm Natman

Ditko's pinnacle! Archie Goodwin told me that the motif of the eyes was Steve's idea, and Archie knew nothing about it until he saw the pages.
