My third bowl of Kendal plug today into a meer , my new favorite straight virginia along with FVF . My bushcraft knife is not enough sharp apparently to cut fine flake from these solid plug tho...
Fillmore in Peterson SH Strand. GEC14. Started late and getting cold outside. Finished about half the bowl and came in. Cleaned draught, dumped the ashes and ready for tomorrow's DGT.
I am always smoking my Sasieni pipes so this one rarely gets action but I love this Andreas Bauer meerschaum billiard with a screw in tenon. Smoking some Old Gowrie in it with Sunny D on ice.
Relaxing after a wonderful salad, filet mignon and asparagus dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've just passed the first third of this bowl of year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
I was filling some little jars with D&R Rimboche AB and found a big chunk of the "perique processed dark-fired" leaf, so I chopped it up and it is the top third of this bowl in my little Chap.
TAK Latakia Revival in my OXS•F/T bulldog. Trying to familiarize myself with these tobaccos before I develop an opinion. Thus far the raw material, the leaf, seems to be very high quality and appears to be minimally processed, which allows the inherent subtleties of the leaf to shine without the need for overstatement.
A quarter of the way through this bowl of Wilke Chocolate in a 1979 no name French briar smooth, dark brown full bend egg with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Watching The Old Chisholm Trail starring Johnny Mack Brown and Tex Ritter.
“Lame mix” Sutliff Mark Twain (ehhhh aro with no flavor) mixed with the great Balkan Supreme. Not very good, I think I ruined a good bowl of BS. In a Nording Churchwarden billiard.
Now smoking SWRA in a straight black sandblast undated Savinelli Hercules 115EX pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
