re. Pioneer block meerschaum, I stand corrected. I just now saw a Pioneer pipe stamped "Block Meerschaum". It is probable that Fred Bass was referring only to calabash bowls, for that was the context in which I conversed with him. So, my error.

Its a slow day here in the 'orifice' and I have no inclination to do anything! Here is the jar of G&H Kendal Kentucky I have been chewing through this afternoon. It seems burn pretty evenly in the pipe and you can even do RYO with the stuff if you fancy main lining nicotine!
