An unusual day for me. I’m having another couple of bowls and breaking in a couple new to me virgins. The first is a Dunhill Black Briar 806 ODA from 1975 with some Rum Twist

Back to back bowls, this time it's another McConnell's, Scottish Cake in a tiny Kaywoodie Super Grain Lovat. I'm so glad I got the advice to get some kaywoodie estates to pad my rotation. They were barely smoked, perfect for my budget, and are some of my better smoking pipes as they're getting more and more broken in by the week.

Right now Half & Half really hits the spot. When I first tried it I didn't like it. It seems I go through cycles of liking and not liking this blend more than any other tobacco.

Good to see I'm not the only the one.
I have a complicated relationship with Old Joe Krantz too. I wouldn't list it as one of my favorite blends, yet I seem to smoke the hell out of it.
Which is what I am smoking right now.

Esoterica Pembroke followed by Country Squire’s White Rose while reading his book “Ghost Rider” on the porch after a storm just passed through.

It’s so poignant now.
