It tastes more Cognac. I get more of a rum taste from Pembroke much like the Solent Mixture. I won't touch Chheda's overpriced blends so no comparison there.@chasingembers and @alaskanpiper , is the Cognac flavor anything like Pembroke or SH Cognac Mixture? I love those but am curious to how it works on a non lat blend..
Thanks! Now I gotta try it!It tastes more Cognac. I get more of a rum taste from Pembroke much like the Solent Mixture. I won't touch Chheda's overpriced blends so no comparison there.
It’s more of an aromatic than pembroke. Pembroke is a lot earthier and the latakia makes it totally different. Bagpipers is a nice blend with a medium level of topping, not goopy, just a nice blend with a nice flavor. Sweeter than pembroke, nowhere near as dark, and much brighter base tobaccos. Very good. A very interesting mixture of various cuts as well. Not like pembroke at all IMO.@chasingembers and @alaskanpiper , is the Cognac flavor anything like Pembroke or SH Cognac Mixture? Sounds like a brandy....maybe? Or tulip? I don’t know. Got a pic?A really incredible bowl of Peterson Elizabethan in a Windsor... what do you call a pipe that sort of looks like a billiard that's a bit fatter in the center and slimmer near the bottom and only slightly slimmer near the top?
