No morning smoke or cigar - just going over the past couple of pages of posts enjoying a wad of home-made chew, (1 part Captain Black Cherry and 3 parts SWR Tobacco) prior to Wednesday range duties and pistol practice.

I'll take a 35mm film container of the above mixture along with me (which is delicious, btw). I'll also take a couple of Colt Whiskeys along with me for an outdoor puff break in the alcove. Shooting indoors today. Too cold (-20) for outdoors unless you have masochistic tendencies.

Words just do not do that stuff justice! And I'm not kidding you - as I was looking at your post, my blind and deaf 21 year old Shih-tsu Ricoh favoured the kitchen floor with a deposit.

I'm sure Extra S Brown Pigtail tastes pretty great, but my trepidation in trying it would be very similar to the first time I made soup with leftover vegetables and a stock made from a couple of shriveled up wieners, a few days before the pension cheques arrived.

Love the knife and pipe btw!
Thank'ee, @gord ... I prefer to think of GH twists as being more like Boerwors :) I shall review the Pigtail after a couple more smokes - that was my first one, and somewhat disappointing because a) I was in a mood; b) I didn't dry it long enough (5 hours, forsooth), and c) I smoked it in that Zulu, and a narrowing Dublin bowl with bent shank doesn't do justice to a tobacco as moist as that, especially with the humidity as high and the temperature as low as it is here at present. Next time, a straight-stemmed, round-chambered Meer... going to cut some up and start air-drying it now.

Good day all! No snow here in Florida - just pollen. Clouds of the stuff coating everything: house, cars, grass, shrubs, me (if I stand outdoors for more than two minutes) that bakes on when the morning dew dries in the sun. After daily hosing of everything, started with Ennerdale Flake in a dedicated Tilshead smooth Footed Cutty with eighth-bent tapered stem.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am nearly finished smoking year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Cafe 645, neat, is my drink.
