Good Morning! Another early kick off in Florida as I find myself sitting behind my desk since 5 AM tapping away on my computer. Today will be more of the same as I prepare a whole bunch of 8K's for one client who seems to have put his foot in a metaphorical glue trap! As my old mentor used to remark 'One day you are the dog and the next day the lamp post' which does sort of summarize the world that we live in to a large extent. I am starting my day off with a bowl of Bob's CH Flake in this rather fun and well colored late 19th century BBB meerschaum 'cutty' pipe with original amber stem from the well known London maker but more than likely a product of the Viennese pipe carvers trade and then rebadged by BBB. The hallmarks on the silver collar are little worn and I don't have my hallmark guide with me but anyone with a zoom function is welcome to chime in. Enjoy your day or as the Japanese say 'Be Happy in Your Work!' or just drink lots of coffee.

Couldn't sleep, so I've been doing some reading, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2010 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a 2017 smooth, straight medium brown made in France Comoy’s Riband 298 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. It's been a while since I smoked this pipe.

It being a dismal and rainy day it’s perfect for cleaning up these estates that just arrived from my friend in the US.
Top to bottom, a Marxman pot (I’ve wanted to see what this great old American brand was like for a while and it should clean up nicely), a Sasieni Fantail and two Sasieni Mayfair’s.
I also have 8 oz of PS Bullseye and a sample of Ogden’s Gold Block from the 1960’s which I’m looking forward to trying.
It’s gonna be a nice day after all. image.jpg

I’ve been aging a few tins of this, good? Maybe time to try a tin.
Pop it open and give one a try.
With 25-30% Perique it’s just enough to keep you interested in it without feeling neglected.
Ive noticed differences between fresh and 3 years however both were good in their own ways.
I keep a few tins around.

Glad to hear that. I love the stuff.
It’s a clean tasting smoke and not complex but gives me exactly what I want with taste, performance and nicotine. It’s also affordable for me compared to other things out there.
It can sneak up on you if your not used to it though.
