Preparing for UFC this evening. The Larsen Copenhagen is set up for my wife... Black Cherry is her "jam". The two swan necks are for me. The meer is loaded with my "Chesterton" blend. The brair swan is loaded with my Clive Staples blend. All the best to you!

Another pipe that I’m keeping from the Lazar collection that I’m slowly restoring. This one is a bent billiard stamped R. Kaufer over Berlin. Then ‘France’ stamped on the underside of the vulcanite stem. It’s a pipe from the late 50’s early 60’s and really well made. Gorgeous briar. My inaugural smoke is Union Square. There is mention of this make on Pipephil.eu but virtually nothing else online that I can find.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. Looks like I'll be on the diet for a while. Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Nightwish, neat, is my drink. Watching a Randolph Scott western with Joan Leslie as a supporting actor.

I don't post in the "What are you smoking?" threads as often as I used to, but tonight I am very happy to share that I'm enjoying glass of Glendalough whiskey alongside a bowl of C&D Burley Flake #1 in a Peterson Freehand down in my study.

I haven't been down the stairs in my house for about a month because I blew out my knee pretty bad, tearing a couple tendons and fracturing my patella. Been on crutches since the incident and have to wear two braces just to get around (neoprene sleeve and external frame). Today was the first day my leg has been strong enough to tackle the basement stairs which lead to my study.

Very happy to be able to enjoy a pipe in my own space instead of being on the couch in the living room. Sláinte! puffy

Damn!! I’m sure we could get everyone here to throw in a few bucks to get you one of those old man stair chair elevators until you’re better. I can’t think of anything better than constant pipe smoking to help you convalesce. Hope you’re feeling better soon!!!

Ha... Thanks.
Fortunately I've got my pooch and my wife to take good care of me. My wife brought up my computer so I could write and set me up a smoking station upstairs that I could reach easily from the couch. It's been working out, but it's really nice to be in MY spot. (I think Murphy is pretty happy too.)

Hopefully I'll be driving to the church tomorrow instead of being chauffeured. My daughter has driven me to the early service the past few weeks and my wife has driven me home after the late service. While it's been nice to get some extra Sunday time with them that I don't usually get, it has hampered my ability to enjoy my usual pre and post pipes on the way to and from the church. (I'll smoke in my truck but don't in their vehicles.)

Glad to hear you're getting better. Sounds like a painful last month or so! Enjoy your smoke and whiskey! I hope you continue to heal rapidly!
