From the Lack of maintenance and worry about rim char or chatter to having something I can literally knock around while doing chores outdoors is a plus. I plan to get a handful of them for those reasons alone. It also smokes well.View attachment 284623

@SBC ,My traditional inclinations led me to an exercise in frustration with port orford cedar, a couple years ago. To group them by spine and weight like this would have required many more shafts than I had to work with, and my shooting turned south quickly. I went back to imitation woodgrain carbons. Someday when I have more time, patience, and shafts, I'll give woodies a try again!
