Just passing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2016 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

The Ali, Dublin Meer with Blend 300 from Ted’s Pipe Shoppes LTD, Tulsa Ok. It took a while to find any information on this blend. It has Virginia, Burley, Latakia Oriental. The jar notes are predominantly smoky Latakia and a hint of sour from the orientals?
No know date, but was gifted with other baccy with at least 8+ years.
My initial impression is favorable. These tobaccos have had quite a bit of time to mellow. Definitely a mild English blend. The Latakia’s have mellowed, but still provide a wonderful smoky flavor along with subtle sweetness and some spice. I would guess more Burley than Virginia and a pinch of Oriental.

That’s a very cool lighter!
Thanks Backwoods, I agree!- puffy

Mark Irwin author of the Peterson Pipe Book writes a weekly blog.
A month or so back he had this one. I signed up to order one and upon arrival it immediately went into service. He has a waiting list and there is talk of a second order happening. Check out the blog on Sundays

It's not the clay pipes that are the problem, it's the baccy you put in them!
Having 2 opened tins of tobacco at home is going to be a BIG problem if I'm SUPPOSED to give up the pipe for a month. Should I smoke it, save it, give it away or just not buy any more???

Simply put them in mason/canning jars.

Also, I assume that you know this, but the Lenten fast is lifted on Sundays in the Western church (as every Sunday is a day of Resurrection) -- this is why the 40 day fast actually takes 6 weeks -- so, offer up some incense on Sunday!

If you're committed to give up the pipe for a month, I'd either keep the tobacco for end-of-month reward or else maybe turn it into chewing tobacco for the next few weeks... ;)

@SBC Does pipe baccy count as incense?
Interesting fact, I didn't know that:)

@MCJ Do you think the Clay King will need some nicotine lozenges to kick the pipe?
Not buying any clays or baccy when I go to Buxton Crescent as there's a tobacconist nearby; that's the big test:)

I have faith in you -- no nicotene lozenges required! Also, just because you're not smoking it for a few weeks doesn't mean you still can't stock up at the Buxton Crescent tobacconist. It's all about will-power, that's all... ;)
