Going to celebrate my 60th birthday today with hearty meals followed exclusively by home blends. For the morning, breakfast of homemade blueberry pancakes, bacon and coffee prior to a VaPer (base of Sutliff Match Victorian tweaked with addition of Green River Black Cavendish) in a 1946 Dunhill 60/1 Shell Billiard. Trusty Rodgers of Sheffield pipe tool and vintage 1950's Nimrod Commader pipe lighter accompanying.

This is Seattle Pipe Club Plum Cake flake, packed yesterday in the Doc Grabow, never got around to it. Mug of reheated Bigby’s coffee, fortified with a scoop of Cafe Bustelo…unholy union.

This is really a unique, marvelous blend…top shelf. I see it’s a Sutliff product, per the back of the tin.

2018 Best Brown Flake in the Altinay Cool Mo Dragon. When i got this tin the seal was non existent and the tobacco was bone dry, a little distilled water in a mister and a couple months in a jar and it’s like new.

Second birthday smoke. For the afternoon, lunch of Caribbean Jerk Pork Chops with mango chutney, rice and black beans. Glass of cold lager for drink. Followed by an Oriental home blend in a Mark Balkovec freestyle estate pipe (birthday gift to myself purchased on eBay last week). Trusty Rodgers of Sheffield pipe tool and vintage 1950's Nimrod Commander pipe lighter accompanying. Time for a nap now, I think...

A Danish era Stanwell Shape 24 Dublin/Belge

The original longish straight saddle stem was horribly oxidised internally, so I got a replacement acrylic stem with a 1/8 bend made by The Danish Pipe Shop
