Breaking in a Peterson 606 with some Briar Fox. In other news, a really bad picture took through binoculars of a Barred Owl. First owl I’ve seen I believe. I’ve heard what I think are a pair of great horned owls in the woods behind my house for years but I’ve never seen them. Last year I started hearing Eastern Screech Owls. Exciting to me.

I’ve heard Barred Owls in the woods and the sound is unmistakable, but to be able to watch one for 30 minutes was awesome. I mimicked a call and to see his head turn and stare at me with those big black eyes from another world, it was special. E750958F-701E-4DFB-9A13-2BA8AA297BE9.jpeg

Now smoking Wilke No. 111 in a straight smooth medium brown 2016 Brigham Klondike 16 bulldog with a tapered black acrylic stem. Listening to The Adventures of Superman from audition discs on to the regular series. As far as I know, I have every available episode of this series.

Just finished smoking Wilke No. 222 in an undated straight, smooth light brown unbranded short shank Bing-ish billiard with a long, tapered black vulcanite stem. Shy Stripesy finally showed up, and is as afraid of me as ever. Not as much as her sibling is, though. I had to stand around Tomato the Brave so he'd feel comfortable enough to eat his food. Daisy the Feral Princess ate and left.

Now smoking Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
