Continuing on from yesterday's Stanwells, another Stanwell from its Danish patented era.
A Jess Chonowitsch designed Shape 157 bent Dublin/horn with a tapered stem.
There is also a similar Shape 156 with a saddle stem.

With some C&D red Virginia.
I bought a 10gm sample as I was looking at blending my own VaPer.
A prickle on the tongue on lighting up, but no tongue bite.
A definite irritation at the back of the throat resulting in bouts of coughing.
Not quite the flavour profile I was looking for.
I'll keep looking.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Wilke Hearth of Galway in an undated smooth straight medium brown made in France Saillard Lord Clerit lumberman with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Listening to Orson Welles substituting for Jack Benny on Benny's show from my collection of radio shows. Benny was sick for several weeks, and Welles filled in for him. They are great episodes.

Eccentric in a Savinelli Oceano 106 smooth straight billiard, with water to drink. About to put on Inglorious Basterds to sit back and enjoy. It may just be my favorite Tarantino film and the opening scene with the dialogue and pipe smoking is also one of, if not my favorite scenes ever.

Had a light snack, fed the ferals, and am a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
