My two friends that actually understand the game are coming over for a very small Super Bowl party and I’ve been preparing tacos, quesadillas, and many other gourmet delicacies for the big game.

I’m just finishing some 1820 Flake in this Bewlay Popular Canadian and I’m moving on to some Escudo in this newly acquired Pony hair covered Longchamp, if anyone knows the number for Hair Club for Pipes please let me know. I now have the Lizard, Alligator and Pony Longchamp, maybe that’s the end of my PAD
????

I've been looking for a Pony Hair Longchamp! Very cool to see other than an ad.

Pre dinner smoke. I tried this mix a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it.
75% Boswell’s Best Arro
25% C&D Latakia
Transforms this Arro into a whole new, wonderful smoke. Makes me think of the saying, put a little “English” on it.
I’m smoking the Altinay Rusticated Dublin.
A wee dram of Scotch is in order.

Just finished smoking year 2016 Sutliff 507-C Slices in a black sandblast PSB medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 228/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the Super Bowl.

Only just managed my second bowl this week. We had a small cyclone through last night so have spent the morning chopping fallen trees. Having a smoko next to the survivors. Epiphany in a GBD prehistoric pot. Waiting for my ground lug press to dry.

@Ahi Ka I'd have helped you clear the fallen trees if I wasn't so far away; I'd have smoked my clay pipe with you as well...

Drew Estate Gatsby Luxury Flake in my Foyard Beechwood Rhodesian, with a small cup of coffee. Bird report: California scrub-jay, California towhee, House finch, Common raven, Northern flicker, Ring-necked dove, Dark-eyed junco, and one soaring Red-tailed hawk. Much better than the Plum Pudding Bourbon Barrel Aged 2020 I had yesterday. Stuff is just...meh.

I guess it makes sense to break in this pipe on the Birthday Weekend—this is another one of those cases where I kept returning to smokingpipes.com and found myself gawking at this pipe repeatedly (Weeks? Months? I can't recall.) Its graceful curves, perfect roundness, and grain made me want to keep looking at it. I'd seen some Meerschaum pipes that came close in shape, but none with such a low profile. I remember being on the subway back in November looking at it when the site had some huge discount, which ultimately made me pull the trigger. I didn't plan on spending this much on a pipe, but, I knew I'd forever regret not getting it. I could easily see myself hunting for it, or one like it, for years to come if I didn't get it (at least I learned something useful from all those years of collecting rare books that could be applied to other things). Not intending it to be a pricey sculpture that just sits on a shelf, it's time to initiate it and smoke it.

Having Esoterica Pembroke (2021) in a Todd Johnson Smooth Tomato (Hoplite).

After its purchase, I tried writing to Todd Johnson to see if he might have any original sketches of this pipe he'd be willing to part with—I wrote to him via his personal site, but, didn't hear back—I wonder if I should try via BriarWorks instead.
