Starting off my smoking day with this bowl from a first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Rain and fog precludes walking today, unless we get a break today.

Good afternoon guys. After a nice lunch, and keeping the quarantine at home, although every now and then I go for a walk. Today I start with the first tobacco. I decided to smoke something sweet and mild. mb: Virginia Flake, an open can from a few months ago, the tobacco is ready to rub and smoke directly. Perfect humidity for me.Accompanied by a hot tea of red fruits, lemon and honey. And I filled up to the eyebrows a MM General. I couldn't wait to smoke, for God's sake. I wish you a happy day..View attachment 126031

Enjoying a bit bit of Chelsea Morning in the Ben Wade.
The tin I popped has bout 3 years of age on it. The perique seems much more evident than I remember. The tin note was an explosion of plum and stewed fruit and about a third of the way through a really nice pepperiness developed with a lot of oriental presence on the retrohale. I’m looking forward to smoking more from this tin.

Nice railway mug that you have there!
@Trainpipeman thank you ? The LNER was the local railway company here in the 1923 Grouping. Here in the village we still have an intact engine shed as well as a water tower. Sir Nigel Gresley’s designed Pacific’s A1/3/4 were popular engines here on the Waverley Line. My Great Uncle Davey Wilson was a driver, starting as a cleaner and working his way up. He started with the North British, then the LNER and finally retiring with British Railways. My late father Thor beside arguably the most famous steam locomotive in the world, when she visited the Waverley Line.
Happy smokes

2015 GH&Co Grasmere mixed with 25% 2019 C&D Carolina Red Flake. I had a bit of CRF left from yesterday that was sitting overnight and well dried. Mixed it in figuring it would help along the burn of the Grasmere, which was a bit moist.

An excellent combo, in my dedicated Stanwell 139 Brushed Brown.

As I sit here smoking this, I might have to do this combo more often…

Nearing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Have enough left for a couple of bowls. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
