Just following on from the comment about a silver cutty pipe - when I think of metal pipes I think of Falcon, Kirsten, Yello Bole, Dr. Plumb 'Peacemaker' and a whole bunch of others but those at least have sensible bowls of briar or meerschaum.

Broke in my newly acquired Savinelli Tortuga 614 Hungarian (Oom Paul) with a half bowl of sufficiently dried Lane 1Q. Love this pipe! Pic coming tomorrow in the Show Us Your Savinellis thread, for sure. Bird report: California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, White-breasted nuthatch, Oak titmouse, White-crowned sparrow, California towhee, Dark-eyed junco, Common raven, Chipping sparrow, and Northern flicker. Basically everyone, sans accipiters.

Good luck with the interview at @JOHN72. Whatever I have it isn't the dreaded Covid thank goodness. Despite still feeling under the weather I've enjoyed some Yorktown today. I have Sutliff 507-C Slices on deck and may fit in a bowl of Maltese Falcon as my goodnight smoke.
