Brown Twist in a meerschaum 'cutty' which if you have been following the progress is finally starting to take on some color.
If it has the bowl coating I always take a Q-tip with everclear and clean it out. Maybe even a little sandpaper to remove most of it. I don't like the taste of the coatings either. It usually only takes a few smokes to get rid of it it you don't clean it off though.
