Prepping my first taste of Mac Baren Plumcake, courtesy of @BROBS (thank you, brother!) in a Kaywoodie Saxon that belonged to my Grandfather. Sipping on some Chilean Red. 'Tis a good day, indeed.
Finished a bowl of Telegraph Hill I started yesterday. I seem to enjoy large chambered pipes. Small ones have their place, but larger ones give that long mid and end I enjoy.
Nice pipe to go with a rather nice smoke [As it's called a Navy, I was expecting something different. Not that I'm complaining mind] Just be aware that it dries out rather quick in those rectangular tins.

About a third of a bowl left of Wilke No. 44 in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted English Rustic 120S Billiard (Comoy’s second) with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
Two year old escudo that still has too much bite and spice..still waiting for it to mellow out. Break-in Dragon Briars Italian pear.

A couple minutes away from smoking Watch City Rouxgaroux in a 1970's straight rusticated black Savinelli Estella 915 KS billiard with a flared top and pearl brown acrylic saddle stem.
I still have a couple tins of that put up, its was tasty as I remember. Gonna revisit when i'm through with my opened VaPers. Enjoy!

So my first tin of pirate booty landed today from tobaccopipes.com (actually two tins showed up, so will have to settle up with them when they open in FL tomorrow). Not sure what pipe it is going in, but this will be my first bowl today.
My question for the Brotherhood of the Black Frigate is this, does it keep well in the tin, or should it be transferred to a different container once opened? Also, how long do you let it air out or dry before you put a flame to it?
