Smoking some stuff Weezell mailed me. I have no idea what it is but its some pretty decent brown twist type thing. As usual my pipe of choice is a meerschaum 'cutty' with an amber stem and a heavy silver band inscribed to some long dead dude!

C'est La Vie vanilla aromatic in a Peterson Donegal Rocky bent briar Calabash; the rustication on this pipe was a tad clunky new, but is weathering in nicely, and the pipe has gotten down to serious business for good smoking.

I've acquired a tiny portion of th legendary Marlin Flake, which I'm having now in my Golden Age bulldog. Second time trying this since over 13 years ago where I was too much of a novice to appreciate it. I remember being completely unphased by it then, now it's just delicious, woodsy, earthy, sweet, tangy, slightly savory-- the complexity is incredible really.
It is pretty darn good. It has a certain sort of mustiness that is quite unique. I still like Margate and Penzance better, but it's a good one for sure.
