Just finished the Peretti #8 Slice from this morning in the Larsen freehand. This is one of the best house Va/Per/Burley mixtures I’ve smoked in a long time. There is no Really dominant, overpowering tobacco in here that I can tell.To my weather beaten palate,it is well balanced. If anyone wants to try it,I’ll sent them a Flake or two.
I definitely wouldn't mind trying it. I don't believe I've had any perique blends.

After smoking my G&H no. 20 for the last few months, it is without a doubt my favorite latakia blend from the few 4 or 5 I've tried. But, just today I had 3 new latakia blends arrive in the mail. Let's see if any of them can compare. I'll keep you all posted
New blends:
Lane Bulk GHL
Sutliff Heavy English
Peter Stokkebye 52 Proper English
The sutliff and Peter stokkebye also burn a little too hot, I believe the Peter stokkebye is the winner though, with a little bit of water it will be a great addition and potentially a daily smoke. Unfortunately I've yet to find anything to replace my G&H.

Just finished up a bowl of C&D Pegasus for the first time. This sample was generously gifted to me from our member Bowie and I can tell you it was excellent to my taste. I was looking for a relatively unadulterated burley blend that was available in readily available in bulk. This blend has a nutty sweetness that hits the mark. I’m gonna finish this sample over the next couple days and most likely order a pound to enjoy going forward....spectacular with ☕. Thanks again brother Bowie!!!?

Call it nostalgia smoking: Packed for later, Mixture No. 79 from a pouch, in an Iwan Ries Benton-produced house pipe of Algerian briar. The grain on this is quite nice, and the bowl is at least a Group 5. It's stamped Iwan Ries. Today their house pipes are made by Genod and look excellent too.

A light, aromatic smoke tonite. Smoking a Slovak copy of Connoisseur's Choice, falls way short of the original so far; still decent enough I guess.

Pipe of choice is a rather long James Upshall Canadian.
