This little Peterson Aran is a workhorse, so a bowl of War Horse Bar seemed fitting to go with a fresh French press pot of coffee. I’m ready for the day throws at me now. Picked up the Aran from an Ebayer from Australia for $20 shipped, and it was rough, but a little TLC and it’s one of my favorites in the rotation.
Now smoking the last of my stash of Ken Byron Ventures Burlier Morning Pipe in a mid-70s straight smooth octagonal paneled Jeanet (made by Chacom) billiard with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Watching Mad Dog Russo.

Now first try of GH Bob's chocolate flake. I don't get any chocolate from it, the flakes smelled almondy to me, and the taste is good tobacco plus a floral whiff. I guess that's the Lakeland essence, I just don't have another point of reference. So I need to get one, I will review the brilliant Lakeland sauce thread. I remember this tobacco was a 2 out of 10 on the Lakeland scale, and I really like it so maybe kicked up a tiny bit would work for me. Haven't tried something I dontr like from the Gawith house(s) yet.
After smoking my G&H no. 20 for the last few months, it is without a doubt my favorite latakia blend from the few 4 or 5 I've tried. But, just today I had 3 new latakia blends arrive in the mail. Let's see if any of them can compare. I'll keep you all posted

The GHL appears to consist mostly of Virginias due to it's sweet flavor but hot burning. While I do enjoy the flavor very much. It does burn a little too hot for my liking.
Just finished the Peretti #8 Slice from this morning in the Larsen freehand.This is one of the best house Va/Per/Burley mixtures I’ve smoked in a long time.There is no Really dominant,overpowering tobacco in here that I can tell.To my weather beaten palate,it is well balanced.If anyone wants to try it,I’ll sent them a Flake or two.
