Happy New Year to those who are already in 2026! A few hours yet to go for me. Now, my last bowl in 2025: newly opened tin of Erinmore Flake in a Paykoc Brandy Glass Lattice Meer and a sturdy Eggnog. On opening the tin yesterday, the flakes were as wet as Sam's Flake. Rubbed several out and let sit open in the tin for a bit, before closing it up for the night. The bits were sufficiently aired and succumbed to the flame without drama.

To our pipes and our blends, old and new, and steady friends who never tamp your spirits down. Happy New Year!

That's an awesome stein. Where did you find it? Is Massive Attack a Berliner Weisse from Mikerphone Brewing? I just looked them up on Untappd. Looks like they are quality brewers from all the accolades.

@redbarchetta Thank you! I bought the stein new in Bavaria when backpacking through there in...1988? Carried it home with me! The bier was a Chimay Grand Reserve Ale. The Massive Attack I was referring to is a band, and the song at the moment was Safe From Harm (also featured in "The Insider" which has a killer soundtrack).

Having a couple of firsts this evening for NYE.

First time smoking KBV Eldritch Pipes Goblin Bells in a new unbranded meer given to me by my wife for Christmas. The tobacco was produced for New Years, and is a mix of old red Virginias and 20% perique, with a "splash" of dark rum and cognac. I don't pick up the alchohol in this, but it could be a ringer for CRF/P in ribbon form. Its delicious!
