Some Per Jensen’s King’s Watch for the first bowl in the Jobey gourd calabash. It’s been a roooough month vis-à-vis my health, with today being the first time in near two weeks where I’ve been in a decent enough state to smoke. Won’t go into it too much, but please remember folks, stay hydrated at all costs. I thought I was. I was wrong.
On to better things, this pipe is a wonderful little smoker, and the internal chamber helped with the rougher edges of this newer blend. If you’ve a calabash and this stuff wasn’t really working for you as you would’ve liked, I’d recommend trying this out, I think I prefer it this way. Further good news, it seems that this pipe fits perfectly in the reversed top of my rotating pipe rack tobacco box.
Happy holidays, all!

Savinelli Tortuga 106 packed with Haunted Bookshop, which taste just delicious. I'm drinking this green mountain breakfast blend coffee which I've been really enjoying. The weather out today is perfect, couldn't ask for a better day. Hanging out with my 2 boys out back. Gonna throw a honey baked ham in the oven in a little, wife's washing some collard greens in the sink. Life's Good, Merry Christmas Eve to everybody, I hope y'all have a blessed day.

Went out to the horses early this morning and gave them their Christmas Eve hay and some treats. They were appreciative. Picture below has three of them. Number form is off to the left but couldn't get him in the shot.

Afterwords, I had some Cringle Flake '23 in a Altinay meer. Coffee was consumed earlier.

Merry Christmas, my dear pipe-smoking colleagues and fellow pipemen.
First of all, I wish you good health and family well-being — with health and a strong family, everything else will follow sooner or later.
I’m truly glad that over the past year I’ve gained new friends and kindred spirits through this wonderful hobby.
And yes… pipe smoking is harmful to your health — just kidding. 🥂

A looooong and lovely smoke of Peterson's Irish Flake in this J W Caward 'Signature' rusticated Dublin. One of my favourite pipes, and I think I shall dedicate it to this blend. Mug of Rooibos to accompany. Just listened to Carols From King's on the radio, and eaten a mince pie, hot from the oven, courtesy of Mrs. Badger. Darkness falls, the lights are lit, and peace descends. The blessings of the season to you all, from our hearth to yours.
