’Tis the season . . . it’s been a year and nine days since I last smoked this combo. Going to have Sutliff Cringle Flake Holiday Edition 2023 in a Clay Figural (Santa Claus?) with Cherrywood stem with orific bit. Does anyone know this maker? The red seal on the side has a shallow crown above a shield with “RR” inside the shield. I’ve had no luck checking the usual sources.

I've had a very busy day, smoked several bowls of tobacco, and just finished smoking year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

The tin reminds me of the unique smell of a campfire when I went camping in Sweden over 20 years ago. Nothing we burn in Texas smells a thing like it.

Oof. Of course even though I had a shirt day at work, it always seems to get crazy right before a vacation. Anyways I did have a nice bowl of Rattrays Brown Clunee in a Grabow. Had some range time this afternoon and then a giant torta from my local taco truck. Not a bad way to start Christmas Vacation.

Wow, this might be the best English I’ve ever tried. Waaaay better than Quiet Nights. More body than Westminster. While I enjoy Nightcap, I have to be in the right mood for it. I think I could smoke MF all day, every day. It burns cool and lets me smoke it like a chimney, my favorite way to smoke English blends :P

Enjoying the warmer than normal temps (+20 F !!) this evening. (As @RickyRecon stated: T-shirt weather today!)

I've got MB HH ODF in a Neerup Classic 4 Bent Dublin Sitter. Paired with some Stash Russian Caravan . The smokiness complements nicely. (I.e., I compliment the complement!)

Edit to add: The Neerup is my only 9mm filter pipe. I typically utilize a balsa wood filter, but today I stuck in a Vauen Dr Perl activated carbon filter, and the result is extraordinary sweetness in the ODF taste. I'm not sure if this will be repeatable, or it's just this particular smoke today. Maybe it's the tea (?). More testing required.
