Check it out.... Paul is now typing in Russian!!!
Not only does he have a gorgeous pipe collection.... He's a multi-linguist as well!!
He's probably a retired secret agent, ha.

Like in the Bond movies.....
"What is your name?"
"RVA...... Paul....RVA!"

Arango version Royal Comfort in a new Missouri Meerschaum Diplomat. Like the pipe. Do not care for the tobacco, and am going to stop struggling with it. I mean it this time. :) I have smoked it in various pipes, dried for various lengths of time (and even not at all) and it and I just do not get along.

Made a mocktail which approximates an Old Fashioned. That, I enjoyed.

Recipe:

Brew a cup of double-strength Russian Caravan tea (or another smoky tea like lapsang souchong), and let it cool.

In a drinks glass, muddle:

5 dashes of Fee Brothers Whiskey Barrel Aged bitters (FYI there is what I assume to be a small amount of alcohol in this. There are alcohol-free bitters available.)
2 - 3 slices of a Cajun Belle hot pepper (or a jalapeño)
Slice of orange

Pour in half-a-glass's worth of 7UP Shirley Temple Zero Sugar (pomegranate and cherry flavored.)

Fill the glass the rest of the way with the cooled tea.

The pepper slices give it a little heat and zing, to mimic the "nose" and "bite" of alcohol.

It's festive. :)
