Punkeedo, while I have not smoked any McClelland C. C...... I really do appreciate posts like this that give insight to what certain blends do after extended aging. It helps me learn what types of tobaccos do over time. Thanks.Starting December off with a wildly old jar from my cellar:
McClelland Christmas Cheer 2001
I had my doubts, having recently read (1) that cellared tobaccos really don't improve beyond ten years and (2) that some had found their old tobaccos tasted like dirt. However, I'm pleasantly surprised! It's not as tangy and bright as Christmas Cheer was, fresh from a new can. But it's a pleasant, sweet (if not subdued) flavor on the first third of the bowl. I'll report back later.
Perhaps I should start a separate post to discuss with others. Thanks for the feedback!Punkeedo, while I have not smoked any McClelland C. C......
