While on the east coast, i visited my brother's new place in West VA. He's appropriately relocated to a small town called Pipestem. Knowing i was coming to visit, he dusted off a few pipes and hung the pipe rack i built for him several Christmases ago right on the living room wall.

Anyhow, I'm happily back in the smoking lounge after a long day up north. Warming up with a favorite bowl from KBV in a Ser Jacopo L2.

Now that's a beautiful rack! Seems fairly efficient for what, 18 pipes? -- well done. Pipestem is a very cool name. It also looks like a gorgeous place. I really, really need a smoking lounge -- once it drops to the 30s and below (like now), it's just a bit nippy for me. Or I need a greenhouse ala @Fralphog .

LJ Peretti's Pride of Loch Lomond in a Savinelli Dolomiti 311KS for the first smoke of December. This jar has about 15 months of aging time on it. I liked this blend when I first received it, but the aging has turned the flavor up a notch!

Now smoking first production Watch City English Ernie-ental in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day 264 Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Getting ready to check on the ferals and clean the pipes that I smoked today.

Amphora Full in the Alexander, Greek made briar pipe, one of the first I've had.
Yesterday evening I was coming back from work, walking from the train station, and I saw fallen on the pavement, a small magnetic picture of Holy Mary with the Holy Infant. I passed by, but after a few steps I got back and collected it, thinking it was not right to leave it there and people maybe step on it in the dark.
Now it's on my fridge door with other magnets. Bless us all good people!

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am near the first third of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. The ferals have been in and out several times, but all of them have eaten. From what I could tell, Daisy the Feral Princess seemed to be the only one who was looking for Norton the Nosey.

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2018 D&R Raccoon’s Accent in a pre-WWII straight smooth brown The Lumberman Special (Comoy’s) with a tapered black vulcanite saddle stem. Couldn't post before now because Daisy the Feral Princess was lying on my right leg.

Enjoyed a small, but tasty Snap Dragon apple, and am part way through this bowl of year 2016 Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake in a straight smooth brown post-1964 Parker Super Bruyere 88/F group 3 bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Daisy the Feral Princess ate and went out even though it's cold and raining. The others came in to eat when she went out. They wanted out after they ate. I'd rather that they stayed in when the weather's not good, but they have their own minds about it, so I let them out. If it was a thunderstorm, I'd try to keep them inside.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. It's even money whether or not I'll have another smoke before bed time. The ferals will decide that as I'm going to check on them. Been reading with Sleepy Suzy by my side.
