Enjoyed a light snacking, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2020 D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a tapered black p-lip stem. Getting ready to clean a few pipes.

Just finished smoking year 2015 Mac Baren Virginia #1 in a straight black 1925 Dunhill patent shell Canadian 33 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. All the ferals came in to eat. Daisy the Feral Princess hissed and swiped at Harry the Hairy twice for getting near her. I tried to comfort the poor fella, but he just wanted to go out. Tomato the Brave followed him out and then Daisy went out. I spent a lot of time keeping them apart so they could eat in peace, and not bother Molly Danger who spent her time lying on the floor watching them. Sleepy Suzy was and is by my side.

Sticking with the Heritage line for now, and the RMC 5 Year Matured Virginia is a standout. Kohlhase & Kopp based this on the classic Dunhill Three Year Matured Virginia, keeping the core recipe intact while extending the aging process. Ribbon cut, loose enough to pack easily. Composition: matured Virginia tobaccos (aged 3–5 years, primarily from Carolina and Zimbabwe sources, giving that grassy-hay base with subtle citrus and dark fruit notes). No toppings or flavors—just straight Virginia. Tin note: musty hay with a light sweet fruit edge (some pick up apricot). In the bowl: grassy and citrusy upfront, earthy undertones, mild sweetness without cloying. Strength 2/5, nicotine low but present. Burns even and cool, no bite, room note tolerable (light hay). Personally, I’m impressed—smooth, balanced, and reliable for daily smoking. TobaccoReviews averages 3.2/4, with most praising the natural Virginia depth and lack of harshness, though a few note Orientals feel more prominent than in the original Dunhill (adding floral spice without overpowering).

December, yet the young oaks refuse to yield and keep their leaves.

Just a quick rant regarding a comment by @MisterBadger above regarding importing beer. Brewed Under Licence / Made under Licence in my humble opinion is the devils work - I've been caught out with Aussie brewed Heineken, Carlsberg and I think maybe even Guinness.

To me it just tastes like an Australian imitation of the real thing, sort of tastes like the original but with the crappy after-taste of generic Aussie beer. Carlton United Brewery are my STG.

Edit to add they even keep the 'Import Quality' on the can or bottle of the BUL stuff - you really have to check the fine print to see it.
