My sons came over for a smoke Saturday afternoon and we did a group tasting of Silver Jubilee. Everyone enjoyed it quite a bit. We followed that up with cigars. It had been a long time since we had got together, and I had a really wonderful time smoking and chatting with them.

Near the last third of this bowl of year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. And I bet I'm not the only one being invaded . . . . also going to be dog sitting. A Shih-Tsu. looks exactly like Ricoh, but is waayyyy better behaved and civil, and he just loves me. Gonna have him next week for three days.

Only smokes for the past two days - minicobs, and Falcon Bowl break in with straight Sutliff Latakia, Cheap Cigars and Chew.

Complete tobacco fast planned for Christmas and Boxing days. Just for discipline. Will certainly be playing with my new toys, though.

Currently listening to "Sounds of Silence" John Cage style. Quite irritated by commercial radio or any kind of the usual Christmas Music - brings back too many horrible memories of Christmas Pops and Seasonal Symphony Concerts from my past. (Just for your interest - professional symphony musicians hate these affairs.) Will put on looped Gregorian Chants at home starting tomorrow, as a form of spiritual warefare against these travesties.

Will post a few downloadable links of these for those interested over the next couple of days along with pics of interesting new toys.

Good morning! Coffee, burley, cob. The wonderful aroma of holiday baking is among my blessings this morning! The evocative smells of freshly baked Christmas cookies transports me to another time. I almost expect to find my mother and grandmother in the kitchen. I feel close to them. I know they are smiling when I sneak a spoon of cookie batter. My beautiful wife pretends to scold me. I’m eight years old again. Does life get better than this?
