An absolutely beautiful, calm, mid-50s night -- hoping we get some more of this. I have 👑 We Three Kings 👑 in a large-ish bowled Santambrogio. It's tasting fabulous.

I guess I've got a similar "mash-up" going as @Servant King , with WTK after lighting the Chanukah candles earlier this evening. Not to mention, my menorah sits right next to my Christmas poinsettia ... we're multi-celebratory over here.

Drinking something new: Harney & Sons Dark Tibet Tea. 🇨🇳☕ Really nice black tea. (@CPT Have you tried it? It doesn't have the smokiness of Caravan, but it does have a pleasant deepness to the flavor.)

Just finished smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 1984 medium bend black grain etched Savinelli Non Pareil 9310 pokerish dublin with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite flared stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Fed everybody but Tomato the Brave. I'll see if he wants in to eat.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a 1991 Ashton Brindle X straight brown sandblast dublin with a square shank and tapered square acrylic cumberland stem. Tomato the Brave ate a bunch of wet food. Harry the Hairy was jealous of Tomato and took a swipe at him when Tomato came in. I made Harry go to the den so Tomato could eat in peace. Daisy the Feral Princess refused to go to the kitchen. She ran to the bathroom, so I fed her there. After Tomato ate, he thanked me and went out. As I type, m'lady informs me that Daisy came to the kitchen for more wet food. Harry is eating dry food. It's a wonder that we ever get to finish a TV show or a movie with them demanding our attention as they do at times. But, they're worth it. :)

"Good Grief!" said Charlie Brown. All posting currently tempo errattico and molto rallentando!

And I bet I'm not the only one being invaded . . . . also going to be dog sitting. A Shih-Tsu. looks exactly like Ricoh, but is waayyyy better behaved and civil, and he just loves me. Gonna have him next week for three days.

Only smokes for the past two days - minicobs, and Falcon Bowl break in with straight Sutliff Latakia, Cheap Cigars and Chew.

Complete tobacco fast planned for Christmas and Boxing days. Just for discipline. Will certainly be playing with my new toys, though.

Will post a few pics asap - probably Monday afternoon.

Currently listening to "Sounds of Silence" John Cage style. Quite irritated by commercial radio or any kind of the usual Christmas Music - brings back too many horrible memories of Christmas Pops and Seasonal Symphony Concerts from my past. (Just for your interest - professional symphony musicians hate these affairs.) Will put on looped Gregorian Chants at home starting tomorrow, as a form of spiritual warefare against these travesties.

Will post a few downloadable links of these for those interested over the next couple of days along with pics of interesting new toys.

Cheers!

A quarter of a bowl left of year 2020 D&R Penhooker in a 1990 straight dark brown Commemorative reproduction of the 1890 Peterson Patent System 12393 stack billiard with a silver band and a bowed black acrylic 32 AB long stem p-lip. Tomato the Brave came in and ate an extra amount of wet food. As always, he thanked me afterward. This isn’t the first time that I have noticed this, but when Tomato comes to me and he’s ready to go out, if he sees me packing a pipe, he almost always lays on the floor. When I light up, he stands up and goes to the door. He’s done it enough that I’m wondering if this is intentional on his part. Right now, Harry the Hairy is on the arm of my chair getting attention.

Near the last third of this bowl of year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. I'll end the day with this smoke. Couldn't post before now because Harry the Hairy decided to lay on my lap. Handsome fella.

I'm right with you there, @gord - though, much as I love Gregorian chant, for me the quintessential Christmas music is Michael Praetorius - 'Nun Komm Der Heiden Heiland' and "Es Ist Ein' Ros' Entsprungen', for instance. But here, on Christmas Eve, the radio does come back on for A Festival Of Nine Lessons And Carols from King's College, Cambridge, on BBC Radio4 (and then it's turned off again until the King's Speech on Christmas Day).
