In some cases, I would think the pencil photocopies would be an interesting document, especially if the original pencils got inked; the photocopies would be the only record of the pencils. If the inks are on printed scans and the original pencils still exist, then all states of the comic pages would still exist and might make the photocopies less important to preserve. I dig that kind of stuff, but I lean towards being an archivist when it comes to books, records, and pipes.
I understand your point of view, but you're an artist, and it would matter to you (and to me). But only a handful of harder core fans care... or at least it seems that way to me. I'd love to be wrong, but in the more than thirty years that I've been a comic book artist, not one person who bought pages from me ever mentioned that they wish they could have seen the pencils.

Just finished smoking first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s Sasieni patent 8 dot Marborough lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Here's a case where one might think that it would matter. I own all the art to the six issue The Golden Pelican digital series that Archie Comics did some years back. In all this time, I haven't sold a single page because nobody cared, so the pages are stuffed in a box in the closet. Below are the pencils layouts to three pages so you can see what I did with them. I didn't fix all of his bad drawing, but I made it look presentable.

I’ve noticed in a couple of the pics you’ve posted recently that there are photos of what appear to be Blackhawks in the background and possibly a younger Fralphog in them?? Am I right?
You are correct Sir.
There are some Blackhawks and Apaches. And, yes a much younger Fralphog. I was blessed to have a rewarding and fun career while serving this great Republic.
