Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am near the last third of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Lavazza Classico, neat, is my drink.

Flintlock ? Had some beautiful custom made ones in .36 .45 & .50 and miss them a lot.
One of my closest friends, Daryl, is a world ranked long distance Black Powder shooter, and his brother Taylor, is also, and one of the foremost builders of custom muzzle loaders in the world - his prices start at $18,000 US and you'd know their last names if you're really into MLs. They are co-directors of Muzzle Loaders at the Rod and Gun, and are both dog-nuts shooters. Daryl holds the club record 5" group offhand at 1000 yards. Uhhhh . . . that's crazy. Prince George is a hotbed of hunting, and the gun club here reeks of ranked shooters.

They've both tried to get me interested in black poweder, but not being a fan of recoil in the least, I stick with small bores, and still shoot a .222 Remington at the bench. I can do the 5" thing with an elbow rest at 300 yards most of the time with my .270 Reminton Classic, and that's my self imposed limit in the field on game. Past that, I won't shoot at game. I'm good at centerfires, but not as good as at competition springers where I'm nationally ranked. Or at least apparently was until covid hit, and have only done local stuff since then. So I stay in my little protective niche lol. Air Pistol? I'm worse than mediocre. Trying to get better but don't really like side arms.

I know muzzle loaders are fun and terribly addictive, but . . . . it's great to see others in the forum as passionate about shooting as I am! Get your guns back and shoot again! 😍 The world needs more shooters and less anti's!!

Morning Smoke Didn't Quite Work lol.

Why not you might ask? Well, the other day I added Borkum Riff Black Cavendish to my stable of go-to's. It's to me a terrific evening smoke, a most excellent evening aro-codger. But I need to be hit over the head in the morning, so bold flamboyance like Mad Fiddler, Bengal Slices, and Bourbon Blue are the bonk on the noggin I crave. Late morning and afternoons, the answer is Black Frigate and backup Rockwell. I'm less selective after these times.

I'll be loading up Black Frigate now in the Ropp J05, and Borkum Riff this evening in my Falcon with the plain briar bowl or my Brigham Tundra, where I can properly enjoy their best qualities. I'm predictable and patterned. . . . If I were a trophy buck, a good hunter would take me out on opening day! 🤣

Did a second set of walking reps on this cold, windy day, and am not far from finishing this bowl of year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in an undated slight bend, smooth flame grain Wessex Standard egg with a brown accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. A certain loudly motoring Tomato the Brave is showering me with extra attention today. Everybody else is strategically snoozin'.
