Woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. We had a little less than an inch of snow, which is the earliest I've seen since I've lived in the South. Harry the Hairy was at the back door, so I figured I'd let him in as long as I am awake. Dunno where Abner the Eager is. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave are snoozin' in the den. I'm half way through this bowl of Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Good morning everyone. My head is on fire from nerve pain due to a pinched nerve in my neck, this is day 7 of intense pain and burning. I received an occipital ablation 2 weeks ago and they said the pain may worsen for a period of 2 weeks following the procedure. I’m starting to get irritated. I’m going to push through another day. I’m smoking 3 Sails and drinking CC medium roast. I hope everyone has a great day.

Leaves, leaves, and more leaves. A day of clearing away leaves up at the farm. Enlivened by identifying deer poo (Reeves' Muntjack, or a juvenile roe, and it hasn't hung around long because of the other livestock in the fields), and a surprisingly good, contemplative smoke of Charatan Black Flake and the very last (hooray!) of Sam-I-Am's notorious 1792 Flake in the veteran Rhodesian Meer. Seems that if you give the 1792 a month to dry out in a roomy tin and then mix it with an equal amount of the Black Flake, the perfume becomes unnoticeable, it burns a lot better and delivers a decent nic kick, while the Charatan Black Flake adds body and depth of flavour. Mind you, I have absolutely no intention of buying more of either to repeat the experience: I prefer a blend that presses all of my buttons straight from the tin.
