Part of the Furniture Now
Here's my afternoon smoke, and the final one for the day. Family and Advent obligations are now paramount. And all too frequent. So pipes and cigars will be rare and chew will fill in - the best backup goalie in the league!

This is, of course, my favourite afternoon smoke, Black Frrigate in my Ropp J05. And it was excellent as usual.

However, being inherently lazy (and as my sister says, "Gord, are you ever going to grow up?" . . . . The answer is probably not) I simply took the last picture of my favourite smokes, cut it in half, airbrushed out the tip of the McQueen pipe, and sprayed in an insolent smiley face. Salut.

I will unfortunately be erratic for the next while, but will post a couple of excellent and useful (to me, anyway) chew recipes in the main forum for those interested in beating the nicotine fix where necessary in these trying times. Also, Ricoh is scaring me a bit, too, btw. He's been unusually docile and sweet since his performance of the other day . . . . 😁

Been a hectic, busy week, so I was all too glad to enjoy a half-day today and wrap up my chores with a bowl of Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a Savinelli Porto Cervo 122 rusticated pot, paired with a scotch highball. My back is still a bit stiff from moving a dozen bales of alfalfa hay into the storage room, but this combo helped loosen the ol' lumbar in a noticeable way. 9.5/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, Steller's jay, California scrub-jay, California quail, American crow, White-breasted nuthatch, Oak titmouse, House finch, Spotted towhee, and Mountain chickadee.

Wishing everyone a pleasant, warm, and relaxing weekend!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, orange roughy and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. Hope to go off my diet tomorrow. I'm smoking year 2001 Wessex Campaign Dark Flake in a smooth dark brown medium bend year 1924 Dunhill 136A double patent apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
