How cool. I had no idea we had a local artisan. Now I want to go antiquing to see if I can find any holdouts... I wish there were some photos of the old shop(s) that he had.I stumbled upon an estate pipe a few years ago. Bought it and then found out about the history of Thayne Robertson, the long time carver and owner of House of Robertson tobacco store in downtown Boise.
Finding and restoring his pipes is like reviving a unique piece of Boise History.

Oh yeah, the one on State and Collister is excellent. I just went to the one in Caldwell for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It also had a pretty good selection of pipe and tobacco paraphernalia.
