This has been finals week, meaning my time at the computer has been dominated by grading and writing test questions. The upside has been overall less need to get to my school as early as usual. Every day this week I have been able to sneak a short walk and smoke on a walking path on my way to work.

The smokes have all been in Falcons: Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Dark/Kendal Kentucky, St. Bruno, and Peretti 52 (it was a warmer morning calling for a subtler tobacco). This morning had a windchill of 0 F with strong gusts, so I picked slow-burning Samuel Gawith’s Cannon Plug to brighten the day for my predawn stroll.

Been busy, and unable to post as a result. Been smoking, feeding cats, etc. I've passed the half way mark of this bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Give Me Liberty in a straight smooth medium brown pre-1920 straight Marechal Ruchon & Cie. Royale apple with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Have enough for one more bowl.
