Had precisely the same issues with my last international delivery with customs due. If Canada Post decides they can go on strike anytime soon I hope they burn in Hell. 🤬 Typical X-mas season shennanigans! Don't pity the carriers, their pay and benefits outstrip the national average. I should have it so good.

Enjoy that pipe, it looks like it was definitely worth the wait. 🤩
And my neighbour says, "well that was weird. I was home when they left this notice in my mailbox. They never knocked on my door." Shenanigans indeed.

Enjoyed a big and tasty golden delicious apple, and am a third of the way through this bowl of KBV Mr. Christian's Haunted Virginia 2022 in a straight, black sandblasted 1970s Comoy’s Mark-2 G * 6 (4) bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. First time smoking this pipe. I had a hard time deciding what genre to dedicate to it, and as I only have so much of this blend, I'll face the problem again. But, after owning it for more than a year, and this being an all Comoy's day, I figure I waited long enough to smoke it.

Man, that is a gorgeous Asteriou! Congrats! that’s pretty awesome they gave the discount as well!
I can't believe how jazzed I am about this pipe. I actually hesitated on it because it's so conservative in appearance, which is not normally my jam. I like bamboo and smooth contrast stains, or craggy blasts. The Danish blasts don't normally do it for me, but Danish shaping...YES! An Asteriou cutty was #1 on my list, so as soon as I saw it I put it on layaway, and hemmed and hawed about it, until Black Friday. That was it. This thing is tactile magic. It fits my hand from all kinds of angles, like a custom made stone tool, and feels like course grain leather. The smoking properties and stem shaping are out of the park, as one might expect. Who cares what it looks like? 😆

Real happy to hear all that.
Glad it worked out!

Marlin Flake for me, last one for today. See you all tomorrow

Nothing fancy tonight. Just finishing up a commentary on a different Cornell & Diehl blend, so I thought to myself, let’s just keep it in the family, shall we. So, a right tasty sitting with Mr. Billy Budd Blonde in one of my dependable CGs makes perfectly good sense.

Great blend! Thanks for reminding me of it. Having a late night bowl in my Asteriou cutty.

Did some snacking, and have a third of a bowl left of year 2022 unreleased Sutliff Brown Virginia Flake in a straight smooth brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam billiard 27 Canadian patent 341422 with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Just fed the ferals. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave chased Sam the Scamp through the back yard in the middle of eating. I went out there in the cold darkness, called to him, and saw his eyes glean near the fence, so I scooped him up. The cats followed me so I knew I couldn't feed Sam on the front porch. I bought him inside to eat, and stood over him to reassure him that neither Sleepy Suzy (who was living up to her name), and Molly Danger wouldn't come in and bother him. I took him outside when he was done, and put him in the neighbor's yard. He was purring away very loudly, but when I sat him down, he meowed sadly at me. Daisy, Tomato and Abner the Eager saw what I did, and all three chased him off. At least he ate. That little fella has eaten at least three coffee cups of dry food today, and I can see he's getting a tad bigger now.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Ready Rubbed in a straight smooth brown 1933-1945 Comoy’s patent Grand Slam 127 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I'll end my Comoy's day with this smoke. Accidentally posted this Grand Slam photo earlier when it should have been the smaller version of this pipe.

This is the 27 Canadian patent Grand Slam that I smoked earlier this day.
