Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. Earlier, I smoked a bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Down Yonder in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LB Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Now, I'm close to finishing this bowl of several years old Dunhill Elizabethan in a straight smooth, dark brown patent era 1952 Dunhill Bruyere ODA apple 806 B124 with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Been watching Orson Welles' movies and dealing with the ferals, which I'll discuss later.

A very Happy New Year to you!! Hour and half until midnight here in Pennsylvania

Jim will start the new year thread soon, so possibly my last post in the 2023 thread.

The pipe is a “Specially Selected” by Sasieni One Dot Canadian with a 1925 patent. With the turn of the new year, it will be one step closer being 100

The tobacco is GL Pease Meridian from October 2020. It is much younger than the pipe

Happy New Year y’all!

More of the Mrs and me working on the property today, Yorktown/1792 mix in an MM Morgan throughout the day.

Grilled up a couple huge ribeyes for dinner, then tried out my new Amazon “herb grinder” on some GH&Co Happy Bogie and stuffed it in the old faithful Briarlee Illustrious-finally, I enjoyed a bowl that burned perfectly. That rope had been kicking my ass!

Mum and Grandma would spend a few days preparing these for CNY every year

A bowl of MacBaren’s Navy Flake
In a MM cob - a generous gift from @Ahi Ka, who wisely felt I should experience the joys of smoking a cob 😁
