In a Julius Vesz bent diamond shanked egg with a saddle stem
Afternoon tea of banana cake and sweet black sesame “porridge”.
A childhood favourite and a labour of love for my grandmother as making it then involved pounding black sesame seeds into a paste in a granite mortar and pestle. And grinding a handful of glutinous rice pre soaked overnight in her heavy granite grindstone. Then patiently stirring continuously to prevent the “porridge” catching and burning on the bottom of the saucepan. No non-stick heavy bottomed cookware back in the days

Pride of Loch Lomond in my Blatter & Blatter Churchwarden. This is such a petite lightweight pipe. Hangs without thought, and this blend is a natural in it. Picked up this pipe in their Montreal shop many years ago in my one and only visit to that fair city.

Had a very busy day and couldn't post. It was an off-diet day, too, and I indulged in big lunch and dinner. Right now, I'm close to finishing this bowl of unreleased 2021 Sutliff VaPer in a mid-2000 decade Tom Eltang straight black sand blasted canted AJ Dublin with a cream and brown horn ferrule, and a tapered black acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
